Kids’ birthday parties have always been traditionally fun because of all the extravagant themes and designs that go into them. This is the time of year when parents often go out of their way to make their child’s party as entertaining as possible. The theme of a child’s birthday party usually relates to their favorite super heroes or cartoon characters. With the plethora of super hero movies that make their way to the theater every year, this trend of super hero themed birthday parties has really taken storm in America. One of the most popular kids’ birthday party themes is of the Avengers. If you haven’t seen the new Avengers movies with Robert Downey Jr., then you probably have at least seen the trailers on television or the internet. The Avengers movies are some of the highest grossing movies of all time at the box office. One of the main reasons why has to do with the child based fans of the franchise. These movies contain a collection of all their favorite superheroes including the Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor and more. With all of these heroes on kids’ minds, your decorating options can lead to all kinds of possibilities.
It doesn’t really take much money to set up a super hero themed birthday party. If you go to Wal-Mart or even your local drug store, you will likely find Avengers themed items in the decorations section of the store. These items include cups, paper plates, party hats, table cloths, napkins and coasters. You can even get Happy Birthday balloons with the Avengers decorations on them as well as kids’ costumes and action figures. All of these items would probably cost you no more than $20 or $30 total. For a birthday party, that is a very affordable investment into creating a happy experience for your child. Now if you want to step up the superhero theme just a little more, you can incorporate it into the food as well. For example, you could make Captain America’s shield out of a fruit plate that contains strawberries, blueberries and white jack cheese. These three foods make up the color of the shield, which can be arranged properly on a plate to look like a shield. Another idea is to create Incredible Hulk pudding cups. All you would do for this is put vanilla pudding into clear ups and then mix some green food dye in with it. Then add chocolate cookie pieces on top of the pudding. On the outside of the cup, draw a pair of eyes and mouth with a black marker. This will make the cups look like little hulk heads. So as you can see, there are all kinds of affordable ways to enhance the superhero theme at your child’s birthday party.
